Hi there..just wondering if there is anyone out there experienced with Aperture software ? Can anyone give me a clue as to creating "Andy Warhol"type images , ie images reduced to 3 / 4 colours .Is there a simple way ie pre configured or if not can someone indicate what steps / controls to use to achieve the above..thanks in advance steve w.

Not 100% sure how this is achieved in Aperture, but Photoshop can do a job if you have it. I used the "Cutout filter" on the top left image to get the top right and then duplicated the layers and made colour amends through "Variations". That Cutout filter probably only works on RGB files though.
Sorry it's not the fix you wanted but an alternative if you need it.
