FujiFilm advice
Discussion
Although I'm a regular on PH this is my first post in the photography forum, I'm looking for some advice.
I've constantly in awe at the quality of photographs posted but am under no illusion as to the time invested, skill and kit needed to reach these standards.
I decided last year that I'd like a (not too expensive) but nice quality camera to start to get into photography. My good lady brought me a couple of hundred pounds worth of Fujifilm camera for Christmas which I"ve used 5-6 times.
It developed a fault so contacted Fujifilm who's customer service seem to have a standard 10 days to reply to an email, after 3-4 weeks they asked me to post it to them which I've done.
Now 2 weeks past and no updates, whenever I email for an update all I get are automated replies (at least that's how all their correspondance feels like).
I went with Fuji as several pals who are heavily into their photography recommended them as their cameras are pretty robust and they have good customer service!!
So I was wondering am I just being unlucky or is their customer service known to be this dire??

My experiences with them in the past have always been good, but that's not recent - they may have gone downhill.
They have even done things whilst I waited (changed a focusing screen for a different type), and once when they had failed to rectify an A/F problem to my satisfaction,
they replaced the camera on the spot.
Try phoning them and attempt to plead directly to a human.
