Reducing video file size

Hi all,

I'm going overseas for a while so thought it would be nice to record messages on my digital camera and email them to my Daughter.
I did a trial run yesterday, and a 30 second movie has come in at 112 MB!!

Is there a program that will reduce the size or another way of making / saving a 2-3 minute video to a suitable email size??

Any help much appreciated

Why don;t you upload to youtube, and mark as private?

Apologies if i'm being thick here. My camera has downloaded the movie to my laptop in a .MOV format, Windows Movie Maker will not import this.
Is there any way i can change the file type?

Havn't thought about Youtube, never really used it.
