Can anyone tell me if I'm being dense, the Engrish instructions are confusing me or my flash has some reason not to be working? I was planning on buying myself a wireless setup but actually got given one for my birthday - a Pixel Soldier. Sticking it on the camera, the transmitter appears to be doing something when the shutter is pressed, the receiver seems to acknowledge it, but no flash

Wild guess - wireless grouping?

'Wireless Flash Grouping is the main feature added to the Soldier TF-37X since the Pawn TF-36X. In addition to 16 frequency channels (the Dip switches for which are still buried in the battery compartment) the Pixel Soldier offers three Wireless Flash Groups A, B and C. With a simple switch on the receiver you can quickly set a flash, studio light or remote camera to any of the three groups.

What’s more, the transmitter features a control panel that allows you to select and trigger multiple groups at once. This creates seven (7) different combinations which are:

1. A only
2. B only
3. C only
4. A and B
5. A and C
6. B and C
7. A, B and C (all)

That was my first thought, but researching on it further it would appear NO wireless triggers work with the di662! I have no idea why, its not exactly hard to make it fire, but just about sums up my luck at the moment!

I hate using Speedlights off-camera; too fiddly. I much prefer using studio flash - set the power - wallop, done. But of course you need mains (unless you're going to get very expensive).

aye, simply a case of having no budget so trying to use what I had really. Interestingly though, I've just had an email back from Kenro (the UK nissin supplier) and they will upgrade the firmware - free of charge - for the Di622 so that it will work with "most" wireless systems - though they can't guarantee it'll work with all. So it'll be going in the post in the morning
