Cost per keeper - just for a laugh

I went a bit giddy last night and made a 170 mile round trip, 2 miles of walking and over an hour on location (so that's the thick end of seven hours all-in) for one shot. Turned out a cracker, mind, and on the way home that got me totting up the cost if I was to submit an invoice to an imaginary commissioning client... just shy of £500 for time, mileage and expenses (mainly fast food and energy drinks).

Next step is to apply the same formula to my other excursions and their results so I can come up with an average figure haha.

If I'd come home with 2 images obviously the costs would have halved so this is a pretty extreme example of unit costs. Striking contrast against the amount I'd invoice for, say, a wedding vs the number of shots I'd hand over.

Anyone got enough spare time and enjoyment of all things academic to join me in the maths and share the result - as per title, just a bit of fun?

Having only taken one photo since moving house at the weekend I'd estimate that that one single shot will cost me in the region of £200k!

Client, really - what your invoice would say rather than how many pennies you actually spent.
