Big strap-on monitor

Seems it works with any DSLR - though not sure if it needs live view to work. Anyone seen/tried it?

Seems its just plugged into the video output socket. If you have a video out then you should have live view.

I fancied it for studio work, but I only shoot stills and so does my D200, so probably not an option.

Studio work as in photography or video? Either way it won't work on a D200 but, I can't really see the benefits of using it for photography.

It's like shooting tethered (which I always try and do) but with absolutely none of the upsides, such as being able to view images on a large screen, view raw conversions, command the camera from the laptop etc.

on a different note, i'd laugh my socks off if I saw someone shooting with this:



not only does it look ridiculous, but i'd looks exceptional unwieldy.



Theres a brace of small monitors out there that can be used with dslrs, thanks to everyone going nuts with doing video with the canons dslrs. Off the top of my head, i think marshall do some pretty decent ones.

Not sure what outputs the d200 has though

It seemed an alternative to using the viewfinder. Normally I'm happy to do this but in a studio situation you lose eye contact. And this is bigger than a VF.

If I did a lot of studio work then I might gear up for wireless, but at present it's not required.
