Trouble uploading pics

Mrs C has a Sony Sureshot thingy, but is having trouble downloading her snaps onto the laptop. So, we bought a card reader, but still no joy. therefore I guess it's the softward installed on the pc that's giving me grief, so is there somewhere I can download this from...or do I have to buy something.

Is the camera or the card showing as connected on the computer? If so, you should be able to copy and paste like you would do with any other file.

Thanks mate, but the Mrs took it into a shop and got it sorted today....Unknown to me!
