Just a 'budget' one that's not all singing, all dancing. Say 1,000 frames a second.

I can't find an idea of price anywhere on the Net. I can only assume they are many, many thousands if every website says "Get a quote".

This is idle wondering - not a serious idea - so I don't want to bother retailers.

1000fps.

Won't be cheap. And you'll need lights.

Might be better to rent.

I'm just looking for "about £10k, mate." I want one but don't need one. I have no use for one other than 'it would be cool'.

Even rental companies give no idea of how much.

My Fujifilm HS10 shoots at 1000fps...the resolution at that speed is very low though and you need very good lighting. You get lots of flickering from normal lighting at that speed. It also shoots at other speeds, not as slow but better resolution...here's some examples.

The camera also shoots in full HD at normal speed, aswell as taking some very good pictures.

The Phantom cameras are the name I always hear when talking about high speed video.

This page http://www.uncrate.com/men/gear/digital-camcorders... suggests they cost $118,000 eek
