Interesting.
I had a browse through the 'Market' section and, as one does, popped into the 'Sports' category. After a few minutes I stumbled across this.
http://www.whitewall.com/image/myView/d%3A1bfc1b16...
Now, it has great light (or at least bright light) and strong colours. That apart on a 'good' day, trackside and panning, I probably cast out a hundred or more shots like this from missed pans or the ones that get taken at the end of a pan sequence that you never wanted in the first place but they come with the rhythm of taking the pan whilst keeping the shutter button pressed. Another hundred or so from the beginning of the sequence too ....
So, should I go back through my surviving rejects folders and re-think them, do a bit of cropping, up the saturation and offer them as limited edition prints?
Or not?
I have no idea if this one is selling but the selection jury gives it 9 out of 10 as a piece of art. I don't have a problem with that. If there is demand for such images I have many that could help to satisfy it!

I can't believe people are paying for that LQ - fwiiw I would advise retaining your dignity and standards and leave your rejects in the reject pile! If that got 9/10 surely one of your keepers would be 11/10 (it is the internet after all) and would sell in thousands I had a browse through the 'Market' section and, as one does, popped into the 'Sports' category. I have a regular gig shooting drifting events and sell the jpgs to the drivers. After each session I sort my shots into folders of each car with even the duds being kept and included. It's much easier for me, and I make no secret that it pads out the real product. Of course, I get the occasional keeper

I'm still regularly surprised how many of the images I'd discard end up on Facebook, and get lots of positive comments. That said, the distinction in these instances is that the person viewing usually has a direct relationship with the subject and to them it's not just a random race car.
Back to the original post, however, my enquiry was more about using WhiteWall as an alternative to the likes of PhotoBox rather than as a sales outlet. 51% commission, pfft.

Sorry, didn't mean to side track the subject.
The whole deal looks interesting, especially for larger sizes of print although I have no feel for how the pricing compares. The delivery charge seems to be based entirely on the largest size of printed image in the package unless I missed something. That sounds odd. Would have thought that total volume and weight must come into it somewhere.
