350D or 1000D?

Hey guys,

Looking to get a 'starter' digi slr, don't want to spend a lot of money on a first camera really so looking at second hand ones.
Quite like the look of the canon ones, does anyone know which would be better?
AFAIK the 1000D is newer but there doesn't seem to be a great price difference.

Any knowledge/info welcomed

1000D every time.

If only for a couple of extra megapixels, the assurance the camera has never been dropped (assuming you buy the 1000D new) and the 1000D has a better processor giving lower noise levels on the higher ISO.

Definitely a 1000D from those two. The 350D is getting on a bit now and although you could take perfectly acceptable photos with it, they have come on a lot since that was a current model.

It may be worth looking at second hand 450d's on eBay as well.

I owned a 350d for 4 years.

Get the 1000d overal lmore modern. 1000D has the same AF moduel but a better LCD and sensor.

Only area the 350d exceeds is in raw shooting fps.

Take a look at "Canon Outlet" on eBay, they were selling a refurbished 450D for £300 with a full Canon warranty.

Also read what they say about refurbished cameras, you might be surprised.

I have a 450D and it's a brilliant camera, if you can stretch the cash go for it.
