Camera for the missus - budget £100 - Samsung ES15?

I'm after a camera for the missus as a Christmas/birthday present as hers is ancient and starting to fail!
The main concern is that it can take really crisp and clear photos and be reliable.
I currently have a Samsung L100 which she loves to steal, so I've been looking at Samsungs and came across the ES15 which seems to have better spec than mine and is only £50.
Is it too cheap to be true or for a novice taking mainly scenery or people photos, would this be suitable?
Also is there anything better out there for the money?
