My scratch disks are full, apparently.

Morning peeps. Was a-tweaking away with CS2 yesterday evening and while almost all functions errr... function, it seems I cannot crop images as my scratch disks are full. So I goes onto the PS help files and it says I need to defrag my disks, which I did, and assign them correctly, which I did (I only have 2 drives on my laptop, C drive and E, which is a back up drive I think. Anyway, I did everything I needed to do and it still won't allow me to crop as my scratch disks are still full, allegedly.

Any advice? Ta!

How much free space do you have on your C drive?

If you are running very low on disk space, then maybe PS can't create the scratch disk.

I've got plenty John! Over 100 gigglebytes of space!

Edit > Preferences > Plug-ins & Scratch Disks.

Have a rummage around and see if that helps.

I did, I did, Simpo! AS I only have 1 big hard disk to assign to I assigned it to the C drive. But to no avail....

How are you using the crop tool? If you've manually entered any values make sure you're not set to inches instead of pixels 2500 inches needs a lot of memory!

It's set at pixels dobbo... Double checked that!
