I'm needing to get my hands on one of these (TSE 24mm mkii - Tilt Shift lens) pretty smartish.

I've hired the mki model from lensesforhire, which was great, but there was alot CA on anything above 5degrees of shift. I understand the mkii performs much better, so I'm looking to purchase.

Everywhere I'm trying (Warehouse Express and Jessops so far) is quoting 3-4 weeks for delivery, does anybody have any suggestions where I might find one in stock, or delivery times of 7-10 days?

Many thanks in advance of any help.

Cheers

Try The Flash Centre in Leeds/London/Brum - or any Canon "Pro" centre as they will have them to buy and (probably) hire as well.

hmm, seems that 'in stock' doesn't actually mean they have it in stock. I can't get one until October by all accounts, and even then there's no guarantee frown

Any joy with The Flash Centre? The Leeds boys are good.

Try Robert White.. I managed to get both the 17 and 24 for a job a few weeks ago, everyone else was out of stock at the time

The Flash Centre were great - very helpful, they've reserved one for me if it comes in on their next delivery. They have 6 on back order, but are expecting to probably get just one in. It seems Canon are unable to supply enough stock, a similar case with the 5Dmkii at the moment apparently.

I have found one! (yay) www.procamerashop.co.uk at an almost unbelievable price of £1,574 (I will only truly believe it when its attached to my camera (and working))

Thanks for your help guys - will let you know how I get on with it (if it arrives)

Just thought I would report back on the TSE 24 mkii.

ProCameraShop got the lens to me really quickly, really pleased with the service and especially happy as nobody else seems to have one in stock or can even get one until mid October.

I'm just doing some pp on the 16Gb of images I've taken this weekend. Having previously used the mki version of this lens, I can say that the mkii is a massive massive improvement all round, there is virtually no chromatic aberration at the extremities of the images even at full shift. It's pin sharp and is a pleasure to use. Used with a circular polariser It's possible to get some very dramatic skies without even really trying. So far, I've only used it for project work, but cant wait to use it creatively.
