Toying with the idea of buying a high speed video camera. Quick eBay search (not that I'd buy it from eBay) threw up a couple for <£400 one of which was a Casio for <£200 that can shoot 1000 fps.
What should I be looking at for <£300?
What kind of shots can you get with 1000 fps?

Like I said just an idea I'm toying with for now...

You can view a car crashing in exquisite detail at 1000fps smile However you need a ridiculous amount of light.

Stopping bullets piercing an apple may take a little more than that unless you are very lucky with your timing.

So you just want to shoot in bright conditions?

Anyone got any camera recommendations?

I've only used this type of thing, www.photron.com and it's older Kodak equivalent. No idea of cost, but I have a sneaky feeling it may be a little excessive for what you are after! smile

The light level involved for decent images at 1000fps is to the point where you cannot stand under it for more than about 30 seconds without melting!
