It was the full casting out, never to return. Mods have cited a series of offences culminating in the name calling but to be honest the offences were virtually all slightly dodgy GIFs all in the same thread which MODs removed, so hardly a hanging offence I'd have thought ....

I'd love to see him back, but I can't see 4Hero ever being reinstated.

You never know though,its entirely possible that a differerent scot may appear on here who is equally the macro master and Knockhill specialist.

+1 for re-instatement of 4hero

He has contributed a huge amount to this forum over the years, and got lots of people hooked on macro photography and helped out numerous members starting out in photography with plentiful and helpful advice.

4hero did add a lot to this forum, but sadly there were also other issues that resulted in the ban and not just the reasons cited here (I won't go into detail). Mods have a difficult enough job, without having judgements called into question and I can assure you that a ban is never given lightly, or with any pleasure.

He and I have exchanged a few emails about it, and I have done so with a few other forum members too. Appeals (while a very kind gesture) do not really sway our decision. Sorry guys, 4hero has my address and I'm sure he can communicate with me directly if he wishes.
