Photo Opportunities driving from Edinburgh to Aberdeen

Hi I am driving from Edinburgh to Aberdeen tomorrow and have some spare time so wondered if anyone could recommend some places to stop off on the way and take a few photos?

Even if you dont get any photos, there is some decent roads!

Oh yes - that looks much more fun than the usual A90 route I take - and my hire car is better than usual this time. Thanks for that I'll head up that way tomorrow.

That's the route I'd take, you could come back down the costal tourist route as well (signposted from Stonehaven). It makes a nice loop if I'm on the bike and have a morning free.

A93 is great; we used to travel up there several times a year to visit grandparents but sadly not any longer. You could also try the Cairn O'mount road which is also fun and with good scenery (and uses more of the A90 so perhaps a bit quicker if you're short of time).

Hey guys thanks for the advice. I did not end up getting many photos at all as it was peeing it down the whole time, but it was an excellent road none the less. I must say some of the views were stunning and the drive was really good fun.
