Going on holiday in a week, and I'm not sure I'll take my laptop so I'm going to need quite a few CF cards! I have three 4GB cards now and I shoot a 50D with full size RAW and JPEG, so I'm good for the first day hehe

Where can I get some cheap but reliable cards with guaranteed delivery this week? Speed is not essential, if I need to shoot fast I'll use one of my current cards.

Also I need a cheap tripod that folds down small enough to slide into the hold baggage on the flight. Must be cheap as I'd never choose it over my heavy Red-Snapper tripod over here! I used to have something like a Hama Star which just about managed - but it's broken now.

at work, we've always bought from mymemory.co.uk, and bought 16 gb kingston cf cards. In 2 years, and a lot of data going on and off these cards, I havent had any problems.

they have 20% off them at the moment, and free delivery

Thanks - I think I'll go for the ones from 7dayshop as long as they have a quick delivery option.

Having trouble with the tripod though - I have the 4 section Red-Snapper tripod, and it folds up to just under 50cm. Struggling to find anything smaller that still extends enough!

Might go for this: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?c...

Doesn't fold up much more than mine, doesn't extend as much, and will probably struggle to hold a 50D with a grip and a 70-200mm... But it's a quarter of the weight!

FWIW I have a few 7DS own tripods (the slightly larger ones I think but probably the same basic manufacturing - they look identical to the more expensive Hama versions seem in hightstreet stores) and whilst they are obviously built to a price hanging a bag underneath (not sure the one you linked to has the hook though) I am quite comfortable stiing my old Canon 600mm on one with a 400D attached. What I would not be comfotable with woould be picking up the tripod to carry it with the camera still mounted. There is no way the mounting plate, or even the head fitting, would be likely to survive that and remain attached.

The reason I have a few is that I also use them an light stands for my Metz flash units from time to time. And they (the tripods) were cheap.
