Evening guys and gals, hope you are well.

Could someone put me in the right direction of the cheapest place for photoshop CS4. It's time for me to dump the 'Elements' and go full fat.

Thanks in advance!

I might imagine that CS4 might be in short supply with CS5 recently launched?
Might be worth phoning round some stores to see if they have stock they are looking to flog off...

Not specific help I know wink

Out of interest, what is it from full-fat photoshop that made you jump from Elements?

Cheers.

I got an unused CS3 from ebay, fully checked out prior to purchase with a guarantee that I could have my money back if it went tits. Was fine actually, never had a problem

I'd imagine there's similar kicking around on CS4 at the moment, but be careful as always. Dont be tempted into the educational ones either unless you do actually qualify for the discount.

There's always the upgrade offers on now and again from Adobe for Elements users as well

If you work in education, or have a child that is at School or college, then you can buy a legit copy for under £200

http://www.software4students.co.uk/Adobe_Photoshop...

They ship you the software, and you have to prove to Adobe that you are eligible by sending in a pay slip (for teachers) or a report card or similar for students.

Interesting, the Mrs works in education and I've been hankering after CS5... What's the rule on shared PCs though - is the license only valid for the purchaser?

Had a good read of the FAQ and it's not clear. Unless the license allows for multi-user PCs with users who aren't in education, then you might as well use a hooky copy and save the £200.

John, I've been looking around to buy Elements 8 and the cheapest I've found that was £32 at Morgan computers. Its only disc and serial but is alledgedly oem strip outs.

Don't know if they do the full fat cs?
