Does anyone have experience with the lens? I'm looking to use it with a Nikon D300s.

It seems to have fair reviews, but I would appreciate thoughts from anyone who has used one.

Thank you.

I had one of these but sold it earlier in the year as I really didnt get into Macro Photography and needed the money. I didnt use it that much but my impressions were that it was a great lens, very sharp!.

These are a couple of photos I took with it and a Nikon R1 dual flash kit.

The image quality is very good in my opinion and I find it excellent for macro photography. It extends quite a lot as you focus closer which I've read some people complain about but it doesn't bother me. It's major drawback is the poor autofocus. That's not a problem for macro photography where you focus manually anyway, but if you're planning to use it for other types of photography, especially with moving subjects, it's not very good. I use a Canon though, so if the F mount model uses screw-drive autofocus, it might be better.

One other slight annoyance is that the screw on hood prevents you from fitting the lens cap at the same time.
