Headed up to knockhill this weekend to take some pictures, don't think I've used my camera for some proper pictures since the Isle of Man TT last year so was a bit rusty. The weather was pretty poor, dull and wet all day but I think I got a few decent pictures.

Nice shots! The weather was a nightmare. From heavy rain, to snow, to glorious sunshine, all in one day smile You couldn't have been far from me Alan...

A few of mine.

Nice work everyone, especially given the conditions!

Agree with John, well done. Looks like the weather was worse at Knockhill than at Doune.

Excellent work on the panning. Can you tell me how to become rusty - it seems to work well ... wink

Yeah the weather wasnt what i was expecting seeing as its been nice pretty much every other day, luckily i had an umbrella in the car and worked out a way of tucking it in my jacket so i could use it hands free. Worked surprisingly well and i stayed dry, was still cold though.

I find taking a ridiculous amount of pictures works, bound to get a few that are good wink

Hmm. I've tried that. Not sure the numbers game would work that well at 1/20th though ...

Well in that case what to do, if your not doing already, make sure you've got your feet planted, elbows tucked in and twist at the waist. Also take a burst of atleast three pictures, I usually find the middle ones the best.

If your already doing that then practice is all i can suggest.

Do all of that but at 1/20th the hit rate is low. Fair at 1/60th.

Middle of day best for hit rate. Warmed up by then usually. Towards the end of the day fatigue sets in and concentration dips, or so I find. Maybe it's an age thing ...
