Went for a walk round Virginia Water so took the camera to get some practice - any help on framing or technique to help me improve most welcome.

Then i found a frog in my garden.

Consider going in closer for more detail in the first one. There are some interesting structures within the waterfall that would benefit from a return trip, tripod and ND filter for long exposure creamy water goodness

Second and third could be the same photo. Choose 1 and crop crop crop. Tight as you can round the dog leaving some foreground flowers

Fourth and fifth could be the same photo again. I'd like to think my eye is being drawn into the centre of the scene but the surrounding shapes and overhead branches lead the eye astray. Quite busy overall.

Last one, hmm well I would be inclined to mess with nature and actually coax the frog into a grassy area with a better background. At bare minimum I would have picked up the sticks/leaves etc so you have a clear view of the frog. Then I would have concentrated on a particular area of the frog and cropped the crap out of it

Sorry if you feel this is an overall negative review, it's not meant to be.

Thanks for the comments i guess a lot of it is post processing ie the cropping guess its just practice to get a good eye for these things.
