Just seen on the news - Mars due to be brightest for ~6 or 7 years. And tomorrow night has a decent chance of being clear for a large chunk of the country...
Not got time to get my gear out right now, but where I am there is an excellent view of both the moon, and what I am assuming is Mars which is towards the left of the moon (well it was 5 mins ago!).
Was fine about 6 tonight, could see the moon and a very bright red dot which I assume was mars. Had my dinner. Went to go out and it has snowed and there is a lot of cloud now
Been clear all night and having read this thread I though I'll give it a go.
Got the 50D, 70-200 f2.8 + 1.4x II ready and out in the garden, remote ready and try to focus.....clouds appear, Moon and Mars go to bed for the night.........
