My mum recently purchased a new camera while on holiday in Spain. It is a Tasco HZ730, whatever the hell that means. Anyway, problem is when we were back in the UK I purchased her an 8GB SD card for it, because the memory on the camera was woeful. But every time the SD card is inserted the camera either refuses to turn on, just blinks it's little green light and shows nothing on the screen, and if I try and insert it while the camera is already switched on, it just turns itself off.

Anyone got any ideas how to fix this would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

It probably doesn't support SDHC (SD cards over 2GB)...

Does the camera have a 2gb SD card limit?
Does the problem occur with the same card on another camera (and a different card on the same camera) ?

Either that or there are only four references to that camera in the entire universe...

Chap showed me his £35 12Mp Chinkychunko yesterday. Not bad for landscapes but pretty unuseable for anything else - shutter lag was about 3 secs!

But it must be betterer than a Nikon as 12 pixelings are better than 10 innit wink
