Canon 350D - new lens help?
Discussion
I've had my 350D and 18-55 Kit Lens for 6 months or so.
I've taken nearly 5,000 photos in that time - and I'd like to say I'm getting a bit better at taking them, though I'm mostly using auto-focus, and haven't yet explored too many of the "fancy" functions of the camera.
I mostly take automotive photography - either at car shows, meets, or track-side photography. I also enjoy landscape photography.
My budget is about £200-300, but I may be able to stretch for the right lens. I would like something that I can use most of the time - can anyone provide some suggestions? I'd also light to buy a flash-gun/light too, as the standard flash is very weak.
TIA!

Also have a 350D for a few years.
I went for the 430exII for flash, although I always thought the standard flash was harsh/cold, rather than weak imho (have you got the battery pack?), only just got it but first results look alot warmer
For playing with trackday etc I got a cheap Tamron 70-300mm tbh don't use it other than track days odd bit of wildlife, I need to play with it more

For landscape/wide angle Sigma 10-20mm you can't go wrong (have you seen the pinned which lens thread?), I'm still learning composition tbh so won't be posting any of that for a while!
For learning I got the EF50mm f1.8 II prime, helps you not be lazy and think about trying out the other buttons.
Tbh you've got a reasonable range to play with, get off the auto settings as it only gets worse by having more lenses (trust me I wasted alot of time playing with lenses rather than learning, and still playing catch up tbh) but would invest in the flash and get onto RAW once you start getting your head around the other settings. Also went on basics course with these guys, higly recommend them http://www.experience-seminars.co.uk/

I'm not too fussed about speed, I like taking night shots of landcapes and so being able to let in a fair amount of light would be good.
Your not fussed about speed but want a lot of light (its the same thing).Long lens's
