What sort of features are you looking for?
That sort of money will get you pretty much any non-SLR digital camera on the market, so the choice will be dictated by things like what sort of lens size you want, camera size, what features you want etc...
You may even be able to get a cheap DSLR (e.g., Canon 300D DSLR), which will enable you to use interchangable lenses.
It mainly comes down to what you want to use it for though - there's no point in recommending a chunky camera with a big lens and loads of features if you want something that you can slip into a jacket pocket.
