Video tapes to CD

How do you go about getting video tapes transfered to CD and roughly how many video tapes can you transfer to one cd?

Got about 6 videos of the family growing up so far and would like to transfer them before either they get nicked, or damaged or videos become too outdated - if they haven't already.

I can do VHS-PAL to DVD-Video here, and for less than the outfit above. How many hours are we talking about?

Sorry, it is Video to DVD (Doh!)and I suppose that they must be 3 hr tapes each and a total, so far, or 5 or 6 videos.

Any ideas of likely cost?
