I know there was some chatter about this previously, but thought I would ask anyway - I was emailed by Getty to submit 5 images to their collection for sale etc, and have since signed up for it...

Anyone else already got wet feet?

Hmmm The Getty London office came on to me for a picture a couple of years ago having seen a picture of mine in a national newspaper, saying that they had a large number of clients wanting it. They agreed a 50%-50% split and had the picture. I didn't hear anything more and chased it up. Spent spent days being passed around and was then told to call a number in the States. Got hold of the person that I needed to and was told that they would look in to the matter. A couple of weeks later a cheque for a very small amount turned up. I don't think it would have covered the call costs I had to make, but took it down to the bank to pay it in.

I was told by the casher that because it was an American cheque made out in Dollars, it would cost me more to cash it than it was worth.

Be warned.

The 5 images they have access to from me are all random holiday pics that would otherwise remain on my HDD and on Flickr, so worth a punt if nothing else...
