Chap at work has just clicked on buy it now on this link from Amazon. Seems to be about £500 cheaper than it is available elsewhere.

Does it look legit?

2 feedback - both in last month
An expensive bit of kit 30%-40% cheaper than anywhere else.

I'd avoid.

Add the fact that there's been a number of such "amazing deals" lately on Amazon where the seller says they couldn't take the payment, send you one of the "clearly spam" style emails which has the authentic logos etc but links to uncle bob's pc which is hidden in a small wooden hut somewhere in Cairo...

Does sound very fishy.

May be worth actually reporting it to amazon for them to take a look at.

Thanks.

It did set the bells ringing. Gets more complicated coming from a 'trusted' site.

There's no way it's genuine...if it looks too good to be true, etc etc...

The cheapest UK price is currently between £1100 and £1200...

It's a trusted site but like many of these you can easily become a seller through them...from a quick google search it would appear such scams were already highlighted to them by watchdog in the past...

It'd be £950+ from HK , must be a scam.

The seller's listing seems to have been removed now so it looks like it was unsurprisngly dodgy. Your friend's money should be safe though.
