Folks,
We are going to be holding a surprise party for the in-laws Ruby Wedding we have managed to 'source' some old slides of them when they were younger. I want to convert these to prints but am not sure how to go about it - do Jessops or someone like that provide this kind of service and any ideas of rough costs?

Hi Mark.
You definatly can, and I used to a lot a few years ago. However, not sure as to what the costs would be nowadays, so I'd give your local photographic printers a call. You can even get prints from them using a PC, so again, this is another avenue you can take.

Good luck.

Sure someone here will have a slide scanner (used to have in previous job) and do it for a couple of pints.

It scanned a slide in around one minute & saved resultant image to PC. Then stick on CD & take to pronto print or whoever.

I've got one, the PrimeFilm 35mm neg scanner from Jessops (only a cheapy, but did OK. Haven't used it in a while, you're welcome to borrow it.

Got the power supply, and the USB cable and the install CD. Works fine on XP.

Get in touch and we'll figure something out.

(feeling kind today, especially after Plotloss did me a huge favour (see other thread on Lotus Approach), I feel I should try to do a good deed.

Actually I was about to drop you a line about the Lotus stuff but was beaten to it. We own Lotus so if you need further help just ask.

I'll drop you a mail through yuor profile and we'll sort something.
