I've had a request from the critical injuries dept. of the Royal Marsden Hospital for a couple of photos to hang on the wall. I'm donating the images FOC, but need to print (and possibly frame) to 60" x 40". Can't be canvas due to the need to 'wipe clean'.

Who should I contact... anyone here? They have a budget, so it'll be work, though I would have thought a serious discount would be nice seeing as where they will end up.

Hopefully none of us will ever see them!

TIA

If it's going to be framed and needs to be cleanable, then a sheet of that glass stuff in the front, over a normal print, would do it nicely.

Actually, given the size, I'd suggest crystal clear polycarbonate for safety and lightness!

I think, but am not sure, that would need different inks - in fact my first thought was 4-colour process screen print, but there might be a higher-tech answer now.

Your other option would be to try the guys at www.imagewizard.net. They can print on aluminium base and then coat over the top so will be wipeable.

Prices are high but the quality is meant to be amazing like the difference between and ordinary TV image and a high def image.

There's a company in Leeds called Quarmbys who a friend and I use, they can do that kind of size on that plastic backed stuff, wipe clean too and any size IIRC

Steve, talk to a printing mate of mine: clive at ctprint dot com

He does all my display posters and has lots of huge printers and can print on all sorts of media.

He's in Sussex, so not necessarily convenient, but he's good value for money... I pay about £80-90 for a 4ft x 3ft poster on special vinyly stuff that's fab!
