Second Hand Nikon prices

Currently im looking at selling my Nikon D40. While looking on ebay etc for prices to sell at i find that they are crazy!

Most D40's with Kit 18-55 is going for £200 ish. this is only 60 quid less than what i paid for it 2 years ago. Are these figures correct.

What would the price be on

Nikon D40 (good condition)
18-55 AFS kit Lense
55-200 AFS VR Lense

I have boxes instructions for everything.

Looking to sell as i dont get the use out of it as much as i did. So going to get one of these New fangled Compacts that do basic DSLR functions

I sold my D50 on eBay last week (body, three lenses, SD card). I had a buy it now for £225 and it sold in three minutes (no kidding!).

ebay is good for selling equipment its just sodding paypal that mess things up, I have sold the same EOS 5D mk1 on there 3 times!!! only to be told three times on three separate paypal accounts that they are holding on to funds for 21 days, I have 100% history, no disputes etc etc and they could not give a rational explanation.

Prices are still OK because all new camera prices has risen hugely in the past couple, so second hand stuff has risen to keep up with it.
