Best £250 camcorder

Hi, I've mislaid/lost our previous one, and need to get one urgently to record a sporting event next weekend.

I was looking at the Sony SR37E 60Gb which is about £227 + delivery from amazon, a lot more from my local Sony Centre.

I've generally like Sony and felt they offer quality products, but would be interested in any suggested alternatives.

But that is extra money, and I don't really need the extra quality in the video. Equally if the price differential was small.....
