Morning all,

Noticed at the weekend that i could get a D60 for about £150 less than the new d300.

Any major things missing that the d300 does that the d60 doesn;'t?

I know the d60 is older but is it pretty useful?

Or is there another entry level DSLR that i should consider?

My old film one is a nikon so i'm heading in that direction but may consider a cannon.

Budget is i guess up to 500 quid which seems to be the price of a new d300

Cheers

Dan

I have not seen any bad reports for CameraBox, I have just ordered a lens from them, will see how it goes.
Can't help on the camera choice as I'm in the Canon "club" and Nikon to me is gobbledegook.

AFAIK the D3000 has a guide to taking the perfect shot built in, a few extra "fun" modes such as minaturisation (sp), it also has 11 focus points vs 3.

Camerapricebuster dot com has the D60 at £399 with a kit lens vs £416 for a similar lens'd D3000.

Re CameraBox, I ordered on Monday, lens not shipped e-mail asking me to ring them. Rang Tuesday morning, they wanted confimation of delivery address as it is different to card address in UK. Lens shipped Tuesday pm tracked via DHL
Oxford - Heathrow - Brussels - Nantes delivered here (Le Mans) at 15:00hrs.
I cant see how that could be bettered.
I may buy a body from them but Amazon with free delivery may be as cheap.
