Camera Raw.

I have just downloaded the latest update for camera Raw for my mac at work, how the hell do i get my photoshop to open up my Raw files now? I'm using CS2 at the minute and it's driving me mad.

I think that if your camera is newer than whatever edition of Photoshop you're using (regardless of whether you've downloaded the most recent Camera Raw), it won't open the RAW files. Maybe that's the problem.

Has it altered what program is used to open the file type with?

I have never used a Mac but if it's the same as a PC just select a RAW file, right click and select properties then change the program the computer opens those files with. It should then always open that sort of file with PS.

Cs2 is just too old for the latest version of ACR.

I think you may need the canon DNG converter? I have to use it to convert CR2 files into DNG, then I can open in photoshop CS1 no problems.

(the DNG converter is free, download it from the canon site).
