I took this photo yesterday of mine and a couple of friends cars:

I didn't realise it at the time but looks like the sky was really moody at the time (I don't remember!) - any ideas how to improve it?

I would mask the cars off, then replace the sky with a sunny blue one smile

Alternatively (and a lot easier), can you add some contrast, remove shadow or add brightness sufficiently with the sliders?

play around with the image > adjustments > curves and make it more moody, also maybe create a blue gradient from the top, to nothing, and set it to overlay, or similar - should look alrite.

They're flashing lights - we're all marshalls at the Under 17 Car Club (www.under17-carclub.co.uk). We use them to close the road circuit down, close off sections of road etc.

Ah right (yeah I know what they're used for hehe Just didn't realise you were marshalls, thought those cars were being raced).

Nice idea but the new clouds are a bit overbearing and you've lost the cars.

It's also obvious that the sky doesn't match the lighting conditions that the photo of the cars was taken under.

Personally, rather than going for a nice blue sky with fluffy clouds, I'd go for something a bit dark and broody. It may be possible to do something with the original sky along those lines.

The Shadow/Highlight adjustment in PS pretty effective at balancing things:

Or, you could go a bit further:

I've been a Paint Shop Pro user for years, but decided to buy PS Elements after reading so many good reports.

I'm struggling to view an image Full Screen, the Help seems to say that one can only do this from Slideshow.

I can't believe Full Screen Preview isn't available in Edit mode.

Where am I going wrong ?
