Hi everyone,

I have a model shoot soon and I have a question, this may seem very basic to some but I have seen numerous videos in the past of professionals; Picture is taken, Beep is heard, Image on screen, Ready to edit. Is this due to video editing or is there software that can be used? I do have Canons tethered shooting, but it seems, well basic?

Many Thanks!

Leighton

They do. So the noise is usually from the flash to let you know it's fired. If you tether to a laptop (or shoot wirelessly) depending on format it can take a while to be displayed. It's also really offputting, you'll spend more time chimping than shooting

I don't a great deal of studio work, but if I did, I'd investigate wireless shooting - no cables to trip over.

The beep from a studio flash is not to tell you that it has fired, but that it has recharged and is ready to fire again.

Depending on what model camera you have, Capture One is a great piece of software.

I find shooting tethered with a model (if you know what I mean) is useful because you can see everything much more clearly.

Just don't have the screen where the model can see it - you'll never get their attention away from it.

I never knew that. On my Interfits I get the beep before the recharge green light on the head, but what you're saying makes more sense

A good way to tell that the flash has gone off is that there's a big flash biggrin

I have the beep turned off on mine because they recharge so fast it's not an issue.
