It was my 30th birthday recently and family and friends gave me Jessops vouchers 4-500ish.

Im after a canon fit zoom lens for nature etc in the 3-400mm range. I looked at the cannon 100-400 L IS but jessops is the most expensive place that sell it, so already having the vouchers Im a bit stuck! Furhtermore Im convincing myself that although expensive, good lenses are worth the money, and if all fails, have good residuals?

I think I going to strugle, as Jessops dont offer the best value for money...can anyone recomend from experience the lens I want. I have searched this topic, but Ive debated this for too long and would really like some direction.

I'd say a chipped Canon Powershot SX10is is all you need - it's got a 20x zoom!

I know, it's bummer. Tell you what, send me the vouchers, then you don't have to go to Jessops and can buy at the best price somewhere else. Your benefactors will never know! nuts
