This one:

I have 3 Tokina f/2.8 lenses (20-35, 28-70 and 300) and I am very happy indeed with them. Well built and pretty sharp.

In the next few months I might like to return to macro photography (the macro thread has spurred me on somewhat!) and would like to hear of anyone's experiences with the Tokina (and perhaps Sigma) macro lenses.

I only have experience of using extenders to shoot almost lifesize images.

Cheers.

Tamron SP Di 90mm f2.8 macro came out top in the August Digital Camera mag review against the Nikon AF-S VR 105mm f2.8, Canon EF 100mm f2.8, Sigma 105mm f2.8 and the Sony and Pentax versions also. I have been real pleased with mine so far and at the price of £335 on the street it is a bargain.

I've recently had a play with a cosina 100mmf3.5, you can get them pretty cheap and IMO the image quality is ace.

www.zarphag.com I've a few posts on it.

Anyone used this Tokina?

I've known Tamron macros are pretty good since the 90s, but I do like the weighty, solid feel of my Tokinas.
