Hi everyone, i have just had an offer from a Friend who owns a couple of beauty salons. She wants to put up a few of my pictures for sale within her salon. She has said if i wanted to go ahead she would blow them up and have them printed so effectively all i'd be doing is taking the pics and sending them over.
Only thing is i have no idea what to charge as she'd be doing half the work printing them out at her cost. Ideally i'd rather people see the pic they like and place an order for a canvas doing, that way i get to maximize on the sale price.

If I were you I'd produce the prints yourself, they're going out with your name on so you want to make sure they're good and not some cheapie ones she's had done that you don't approve of. Also bear in mind how much will she be selling them for, and how is the profit shared? If it's art, you can charge anything you like. I'd say certainly not less than £60-70 for a 12"x16" / A3 print, and more if they're signed and numbered editions.

We haven't discussed this thoroughly yet, she's made the offer and i have said i'd be interested and will get back to her. I wanted to the details sorted in my head first about how best to go about it.
I'm not expecting much from it at all but it's nice to think someone likes your pictures enough to offer to sell them in her salons.
I'm thinking the best way would be to let her print and mount the images then let me know when prints were wanted and in what size, if i supply a price list too i think it could work nicely as i won't be shelling out any cash.
