Circ Polarizer + UV Filters on one lens?
Discussion
(search is down again so sorry if it been touched on before)
Just wondering as I'm sat here packing my camera equipment for Leman, what your thoughts are about having both a UV Filter and a Circular Polarizer stacked ontop of each other...
I use the Polarizer quite alot with my photography now and the UV filter was there to protect the glass and boast the colours.
Is it really need to have both on there?

The UV filter does nothing apart from add another piece of glass.
If your going to have the CPL on all the time just leave that on.
Lens flare, dirt, vignetting will add up.
Why would you have a CPL on all the time?If your going to have the CPL on all the time just leave that on.

I dont use 'protection' filters either tho.
A little late but as a general rule 1 filter at a time. Vignetting is a risk but less so with crop camaeras and full frame lenses.
With Le Mans in mind then I personally would (and have) stacked filters but that was because I did not want to remove the protection from the front of my lens with all that dust about, especially the 17-40.
How much did you use a CPL at an event like that?
