Can anyone point me in the direction of a site where I can put a simple watermark onto some pictures?

I don't normally bother but I'd like to for a small selection that I'm sending to someone

Create a text layer in PS or your preferred editing program and change opacity to suit?

make sure the watermark is complex enough to make it impossible to remove without destroying the image

I was a bad boy, friend sent me a proof from one of those very expensive studios. several minutes/hours of cloning I removed what appeared to be a very significant watermark and left it impossible to tell what had happend.

Helps to know a bit about cloning out stuff to know how to make it hard to clone out a watermark.

Unless you want it massive and intrusive try and put the watermark in a complex area of the image, preferable with a unique feature that people know should be there, but isn't anywhere else in the image. A random edge shape of feature may also work. As an example if you were to put a watermark across the lower half of a face, obscuring the mouth it would be really hard to clone out, as there's no mouth to clone from somewhere else, yet people would know something was missing if it wasn't there. (okay crap example!)

lmao, scruples?! I've seen press using shots without permission. Look at Visordown to see what Ben the admin did, under the imression that the images that were used would be ok with the guy who took them. Luckily that time he got away with it.

Do not under any circumstance trust the press

I'm quite handy with cloning - the people I am sending it too are not.....
