I've been building up my photoblog for a little while now, and would am keen for feedback, both on the site itself, and the photos on it.

Hopefully I'll keep it updated regularly in the future too!

Today's entry, more car themed... Shining Stallion

Nice photos, but I don't like the layout of the website. It requires too many clicks and too much waiting to see the photos. If I'm just browsing someone's photos with no particular interest in them, anything that requires more than the very minimum amount of effort makes me get bored and give up. I've yet to see a layout better than just having every photo at full page width on the same page. Also, some links are dead.

A nice looking site but:

It is very, very, very slow to load the images & I feel that the scroll is the wrong way. We naturally go from left to right because of the way we read, your gallery goes right to left and because of this, feels awkward.

I only looked at 3 photos as I couldn't be bothered to wait for it....sorry.

Some really nice photos. Loaded ok here (but I have a very fast connection). I'd also prefer the arrow on the right ... but the fact that it keeps moving up and down is a bit annoying.

Keep it up though - don't let us miserable b@stards put you off!

Some good photos and loads fine here but on an 8Mb connection. I agree it's odd to click on the left to go forwards through the photos. Perhaps a little too complex considering how few photos there are but maybe they will increase in number in time.

Just to say, the blog brings up the latest image at first. You click on the left arrow to go to an earlier image, and on anything but the first you also get a right arrow to go to a later image.

Thanks for all the comments so far. I realise it is an eclectic mix, but that really shows the range of stuff I shoot. I'll certainly take this on board though!

Thanks for all your suggestions, I've started looking around at other web hosts, as I think that's part of the problem. Any suggestions would be welcome...

I've also put up a few more car themed images in recent days.

Outside of sites like Flickr, do people spend much time going through galleries? I've put my Nurburgring shots up at [url]http://gallery.fstopjunkie.net/|http://gallery.fstopjunkie.net/[url] (though I appreciate that gallery software isn't great!) but I find that after the first few pages, I tend to get bored unless the shots are really compelling.

Thoughts?

I gave up waiting for anything to load. My thoughts? Make the images small enough that they load within a few seconds. The days of people being used to waiting whils their modem chugs along are well gone. People want to see something within seconds of clicking a link.
