Taken my first pics with my new Nikon D60!!

Hi All,

My Grandad passed away recently and left me a little money. I've wanted a digital SLR for a while as I'm fed up with my slow and limited compact and wanted to take it a step further. So with my Grandad being a keen photographer I decided to invest the money in a wise and fitting way; yesterday I bought myself a Nikon D60.
After charging the battery I went for a walk after work today to see what it could do on auto mode.
All I can say is I'm impressed and can't wait until I've mastered some of the other many settings.
Let me know what you think, all constructive critisism welcome.

Looks like money well spent! Enjoy your new camera...

Good stuff - if that's with the standard kit lens it's producing some very sharp snaps! Well done on using your Grandad's bequest wisely - I wish you well with it.
