I am looking to buy a Sony A200, but just wanted some advice on compatible memory cards.

I already have lots of Sony memory sticks (pro duo) from my old camera and wanted to know if I can use these without an adaptor?

I asked one shop and they said you can. I went to buy the camera today in another shop and they said they cannot be used you have to have a flash card.

Who is right?

Thanks for the advice.

Hi I have an A200, you can use the memory sticks but you DO need an adapter, when i looked into this it really did just work out cheaper to buy the CF card instead. If you have not brought the camera yet why not see if they will do you a deal?? thats what i did and got a 4gb for £15 wink

Thanks for the advice, like you said probably best to buy a package then.

Are you happy with the camera?

Bear in mind that not all memory cards are equal; I would avoid getting a cheapo one just because it comes as part of a bundle with the camera.
