There are a few minor tweaks that need sorting but other than that, I'm pretty chuffed with it smile

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Really like the site design - and love seeing the images @ full screen..... something I've been toying with doing myself as it just gives them so much more IMPACT. Are you not worried about people nicking them? Thats been the main thing holding me back.

i hate looking at tiny pics on the web and used somthing similar in my last site. i was getting a lot of jagged edges though, yours seem to be fine, what did you use to make this one?

It is something thats been niggling away at the back of my mind but, for the sake of a good looking site, I reckon it's worth the risk. The quality is turned down to 20% on some of the images and their only 1600pix wide so couldn't be used for much...I hope smile

Also, it'd be nice to see the images being put to good use hehe

I'm not sure what the software is that was used, a designer friend of mine did all the work. I just uploaded some crummy pics and blurted out a load of nonsense for the text smile

That really is one of the best portfolio sites I've seen. As others have said seeing images at screen size really does enhance the whole experience. thumbup

This is the only other guy I know of who's car portfolio is full size, its brilliant & really allows the pics to breathe IMHO... http://www.jameslipman.com/

Dean, did you set all images to be 1600 wide or are you using some javascript to dynamically size according to screen resolution?

The images are physically 1600 pix wide and the java resizes the images to width of the browser (try resizing the browser, I could play with that all day long). Seems to work ok but if you have a widescreen it can look a tad odd!

Dean this is f-ing great. The flash package that your site uses really works for the editorial style automotive photography of the kind of quality that you produce. Also saw some photos of yours I hadn't seen before which was nice.

I'd love to steal the idea and the package that you've used but my portfolio isn't strong enough. It does make me hate my gallery a bit though. I got a kicking over on dieselstation about my gallery when I hadn't even invited or asked anyone to comment, which was great for the ego.

smile

As for Dieselstation: If your names not Easton, Scott, Seagram or Dejan you're pond life...apparently. They certainly know how to crit over there!
