For the travellers or gadgetmongers out there, this is interesting:

At first I thought it would be about £400 like the WT stuff, but at around £175 it's worth considering.

For those with older cameras a third party bit of kit that does the same thing....

http://www.dawntech.hk/di-GPS/index.htm

I have a di-GPS attached to my D2X whenever I am a-wandering.

I use another piece of software called RoboGeo

www.robogeo.com

that allows me to create routes and export a route and image to a Google Earth KMZ file. RoboGeo lets you geotag photos by matching up image-date-time with GPS-route-date-time but I find connecting the little di-GPS gadget is more accurate.

Fun if you are into creating Virtual Journeys/Bike Rides/Walks etc for others to enjoy.

Yes. It's very, VERY geeky. But hey...

Any GPS datalogger can be used to Geotag images.

Something like this works a treat as the GPS part

If you don't like the included software to actually tag the images, there are plenty of choices around.

Well it's all too geeky for me. If I filled my head with the knowledge required to work these things I'd forget how to take photos!
