The theme for this month will be "Scarred". Be it human or not, physical or emotional - any image which portrays irreparable damage or a permanent mark in our minds.

No-one has them mixed up.

The entries one is for your one and only final entry.

The chatter is for people to add some, get advice/comments/criticism, and general banter.

A few options from my day at Hot Sam's Antiques in Minnesota:-

Or a shot of the old railway underpass I stumbled upon near the old industrial area in Minneapolis:-

Or final choice, an old abandoned cottage near Kinlochbervie on the North West corner of Scotland:-

All clicky to unsquash smile

A few from the Imber Ranges on Salisbury Plain. Only open twice a year and unfortunately I went up on Sunday when it was overcast, when Saturday had been bright blue sky. Just learning my new DSLR and I would have benefited from a zoom lens as you are prohibited from leaving the road for obvious reasons.

I have played with the contrast / brightness on one but am unsure whether any would benefit from further processing and what to do with them.

Have tried to make then enlarge when clicked, but just seems to link to this smaller size rather than the larger size on Flickr?

C&C more than welcome and comments on which one is best.

Thanks.

Scarred? It's nothing more than a flesh wound!

Ok this is my first time entering a competition... be gentle.

Got a new toy (450D) for xmas and have been playing.. but not very well. Have tried to take in as much info from various places to try and get to grips with turning what i have into what i want but am at the bottom of a learning curve that appears to be the north face of the eiger.

So here goes... was at Coventry Cathedral the other day.

me attempting to run before I can crawl..

did some random ( uneducated ) fiddling with the levels and it came out looking all spooky. I kinda like it...
