I've just bought a Lumix FX35, and need to buy a memory card.
After flitting through Ebay, there was a choice between two makers. Sandisk and Transcend.
The Transcend description included that it was class 6. Whilst the Sandisk said it was class 2.

But, whilst doing a search on here before posting this thread, I found one thread, where a chap said Transcend was good, but not a fast as the Sandisk confused

Can someone who knows about all this give me some pointer please.

Thanks
Cad

class 6 is faster than class 2

regardless of brand the standard class system will (should) tell you wich is faster

Don't know, but I heard that 90% of the Sandisk cards on eBay are fake.

There are plenty more makes to choose from - why just those two?

I wouldn't bother saving 50p from eBay when places like www.7dayshop.com are cheap. I've used both Sandisk and Transcend and for the same class card they're indistinguishable.

I have bought two Sandisk 2gb SD memory cards and they have both been fake, confirmed by Sandisk and they like e-bay did not want to do anything as the seller paid me back immediately end of story. So,like others have said i buy off Amazon now as up till now everything has been what appears to be the genuine articles with no hidden diasters.

And some of Sandisk cards come with data recovery software which may be of use to you.

I bought a "Veho" branded card from ebuyer which is class6 and works very well.
I was slightly dubious as it was so cheap, but it seems fine so far.
