How were these photos taken, settings etc?
Discussion
Browsing through the Readers Cars forum, I came across PulseTurbo's photos of his VXR, which have been posted further down the page on this thread... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...
Being new to photography, I've yet to learn too much about this kind of shot, I've not done too much work in this kind of light, and know nothing about different lighting techniques and flash types. I really like this kind of shot, eg. the frontal pic against the garage, but what kind of settings were used here, was any kind of flash or lighting equipment used etc?
I have a measley old 300D if thats any help. Thanks a lot.

I'd guess 3 flashes as well

)I'd say three flashes or four maybe. Think there could be one behind lighting the shutters too.
Your 300D will be more than capable of taking similar shots so long as you can get it to fire flashes remotely, how you choose to do that is down to budget really, the cheap option would struggle to fire one behind a car.
PH member Scope took the photos, he may see this thread I guess and give the proper details.
As for settings, manual mode, aperture set to work with the correct flash level and shutter set to control the amount of ambient light.
