Best Digital for around £150?

[Tunku]

I quite like the look of the Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd as seen here
Any thoughts?

No expert But, following a brief thread asking for recommendations, I just bought a Canon IXUS 85 IS for that sort of money. All the reviews I read gave it best marks for picture quality. And it is easy enough for this particular luddite to use.

Not in a position to compare them, but I haven't regretted my decision.

Best of...

I'm certainly no professional photographer but I bought the Finepix S1000fd earlier this year and thinks it's a great camera. It's deceptively small too.

Bought from ebuyer, much cheaper (£117 delivered):

If you're after Fuji specifically, is it worth looking at the factory refurbs from their own site (I just received [next day!] a S5800 for £68, with 6 months warranty, for example)?

ETA: The S1000fd is £88 from there...
